Rated 5 out of 5 by DocHolliday This hand blender is so high tech it feels like you're holding a light saber. Yeah I said it.
The setup took me about 10 minutes to put everything together and figure out which interchangeable parts fit with which attachments, probably would have taken less time if I had read the instructions to begin with tho. My only concern about the device being cordless was the amount of power it would have, but it definitely does not lack on the power aspect and the battery holds an ample charge to complete multiple tasks. The attachments are actually useful and when you lock them into place they don't wiggle or slide around (meaning it was well engineered). Weight wise its heavier than most stick blenders but that is because it isn't a piece of hollow plastic with a cheap motor, plus the battery does add some extra weight. All of the attachments are stainless steel which makes it easy to clean and wash in the dish washer. The food processor attachment is a neat idea and is useful if you want to make small batch items like a bowl of salsa, guacamole, or just puree some vegetables. I wouldn't recommend trying to make commercial level batch items with it (like 4 lbs of hummus or something) not to say the motor couldn't handle it, but the size of the blade and container are a bit wee for that type of production. It does not completely replace a food processor by any means (doesn't have a slice and shred attachment for the food processor) but is useful if you need to puree or make a fine chop (also great for making bread crumbs). If you are looking for the last stick blender you will ever need to buy, this is probably it.
