Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent set up My new coffee maker is a joy to use. Features are prominent and easy. Coffee stays hot in carafe. June 25, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Coffee Pot Ever!!! it went out with the gargage this morning. I have never had a coffee pot perform so poorly. The coffee was great - when it made it in the pot. I have been struggling with this pot for a few months now, thinking I was doing something wrong. It is a coffee pot - not rocket science. I am so tired of cleaning coffee off the counter top. If you do not put the carafe in exactly the right position - with handle all the way to the right, it leaks. Other times it overfill the basket and ours along the outside of the carafe. If you don't pour the first cup over the sink, that spills too. The coffee sits in the lid of the carafe. it is an epic fail on the part of Kitchenaid. I have never been so disappointed in a product. Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice product We drink lots of coffee so we wanted a good pot and did research to see what would work best for us. One must was a thermal carafe so we settled on this one. I like the quietness of the perking of the coffee. We like the carafe but it is heavier than we would like. I have some arthritis and have a bit of trouble lifting it. It does keep the coffee warm but not as ho as I prefer. It is easy to fill and have ready so that anytime we want coffee we just put the pot back and hit the button. We did have a problem with the first pot we purchased but when I contacted the company they didn't hesitate and sent us a new pot, a label to return to problem pot and left me being a very happy customer. Rated 4 out of 5 by Love the thermal carafe, makes good coffee This is our 3rd thermal Kitchenaid coffeemaker. Kitchenaid has improved the lid, coffee stays hotter for a longer period of time. I preferred the old beep, I can barely hear this one. My only disappointment so far is that the digital display isn't as bright and an appealing blue as the old model. November 19, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great product Great product it would be nice if the thermal coffee maker would come in the same colors as the glass carafe people would be more incline to buy it. November 22, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by A great coffee maker brought down by design flaws I've had the thermal model for a couple of years and now have to get a new one since the electronics have failed (it makes coffee but that's it, no ability to change any settings). I thought KitchenAid would have fixed their flaws with all the complaints on the web but looks like that hasn't happened. So here goes: It's very touchy and can overflow onto your counter and into the drawers. This is because of the lid design. The lid is very poorly designed. It has one terrible flaw that it allows coffee to enter the lid's internal chamber and sits in there forever. It also is extremely difficult to place correctly on the carafe. Some people believe the lid also causes the overflow problem, I think it's related to the 12 cup issue too. Many people put the lid on backwards. It has a tiny black dot (a simple fix paint it white) that needs to face forward toward the carafe opening. No instructions on how to put it on correctly, so people put it on backwards and it is extremely difficult to remove. The next flaw is 12 cups, that's a call for overflow, but we usually brew 8 or 10 cups the most so we avoid that problem. I would avoid setting the coffee maker to start on its own, since we've had the horrible surprise of walking into the kitchen and finding the coffee everywhere but in the carafe. I'd also recommend the coffee maker be placed on a tray that can handle overflow. Finally I still like its brewing, filter design, removable water container, electronics on the upper body, and ability to keep the coffee warm. November 28, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by This product was a big disappointment. This coffee maker looks nice but does not give you a hot cup of coffee. I do not wish to put hot water in pot to warm it up before making coffee. It's even worse luke warm coffee when I use the programming feature. Every day I have to use microwave to heat it back up. Also unless the coffee maker sits on an open counter, it is not easy to fill the water. December 1, 2013
