Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasently surpprised. For the price point this range / stove does as much as it high end competitors at a fraction of the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT RANGE! Super happy with the performance of my new range. Oven pre-heats quickly and the 5 burners are fantastic! Still getting used to the proofing, steam bake, and convection aspects, but love it so far.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Design issues. The design allows splatter to gather on the oven control panel. When you wipe it of course you accidentally may touch a button. This is very annoying.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Finish chipped! I bought this 6 months ago, and have been using it in my newly renovated kitchen for about 3 months. About 2 weeks ago I noticed a chip in the finish on the front of the range. I did an online chat with kitchenaid a few minutes ago and they said it is no longer under cosmetic warranty, but I could purchase a touch up kit and fix it myself. It's a fine range, although it heats slowly, and I love the look of the black stainless, but it is obviously not a quality finish and I'm very disappointed. (I also noticed a TINY chip on the side of the refrigerator.... ) The sad thing is I chose to buy all Kitchenaid appliances BECAUSE of the black stainless!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems nice enough for the price We've had the range about a month now and we have been reasonably impressed so far. Cooking with gas is always a joy. The cooktop works perfectly. The oven works well too---however it does seem to re-light over and over again during a cooking cycle which seems odd (maybe it's normal? this is our first gas oven). The appliance looks beautiful. Very clean and professional looking. The knobs are pretty cheesy for the price. They wiggle and wobble and feel cheap. I could see the location of the knobs being a concern in a house with small children. Overall we're happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE my new stove This replaced my 15 year old Kitchenaid Superba gas range and I couldn't be more pleased! I was really nervous after reading so many crummy reviews, so I am pleased to report that this stove is amazing for the price point. I am a hard core home chef and I know that spending 5-10K on a stove doesn't make you a better cook; I would put this stove up against any of the super expensive "commercial style" stoves. For my smaller kitchen, the 30 inch is great. Even if I had more space, I'm not sure I would need a 36 inch or larger stove. To start with, the burners have amazing heat control, with the large burner having a simmer function that actually works. You can set it to simmer and it is the smallest flame that you can actually have a sauce or whatever sit for as long as you want without worry of burning. The 5th burner is a great feature and the solid cast iron grates seem to be holding up well.I can see them being a bit hard to clean if you get spills on them. My previous stove had continuous grates but they had an enamel finish so pots slid a bit easier and it was easy to wipe down. The burner controls DO NOT simply bump on as some people have said. You have to PUSH it in and then turn it on; they are very solid and I love . The control of heat is impressive. The oven has a very large capacity, which diminishes the size of the bottom drawer. That's ok with me as I would rather have the extra space for cooking on multiple racks and I store a large flat cast iron pan and lids in it. The large glass front is pretty awesome for viewing. Also, despite other reviews, the stove front DOES NOT get hot enough to be of concern. I had the oven on at 400 for hours and hours to break it in and burn off the new metal smells and no part of the oven was hot enough to burn anyone. Yes, new ovens need to break in just like a new car, so spend a day with the oven on and your windows open to get those metallic smells out. I did have to calibrate the oven (easy to do, just read the instructions) up about 25 degrees to be accurate. I bought a $15 dollar oven shelf timer and moved it around the oven to verify temperature and now the oven is dead on at all times. If you haven't worked with convection before, you will love it once you learn how to use it. It is best for roasting and browning. The controls are easy to use to for entering temperature on convection or having it convert for you. I do not bake, so I don't know how the proof feature works but I'm sure it won't disappoint. The stove top is a little more difficult to clean that my previous model that had the smooth Ceran top. On the note of self-cleaning, I never liked the 500 degree heating up for 6 hours and smells that came with that. I'm not sure I will ever use the Aqua-lift function, as I take care to wipe up any spills on the same day they happen. A little cleaning kit comes with the oven and I haven't had any issues keeping my stove clean. I also purchased the commercial style hood and french door cabinet depth fridge. I couldn't be happier with my remodeled kitchen
