Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy This one only lasted 5 years. The door latch failed 2 days ago and now the whole thing just died.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Also disappointed with product life From the other reviews, I should be happy that mine lasted 9 years. But when you pay for a microwave twice the cost of others and lasts half the time, you can't feel but disappointed. Also, I have to buy a new trim kit as this model is discontinued.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed! We built 7 years ago and all appliances are KitchenAid...now our microwave has decided to stop heating...very disappointing, I was expecting the microwave to last longer then 7 years. When spending the extra money on KitchenAid, I was thinking they were a higher quality product...I guess they don't make appliances like they used to.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from After 8 years.....it's now tripping a breaker..... Not sure what has failed internally in our microwave but it has now resorted to tripping the breaker while running. Once reset, the microwave acts normal until you tell it to start. It will trip the breaker either immediately or within a few seconds. I realize it's 8 years old but I have an ancient radar-range at my office with LED display and turn knobs and it still functions perfectly. For as much as we paid for this microwave 8 years ago, it should still be functioning properly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frustrated and disappointed! We purchased this microwave and the trim kit when we built our house in 2011. The door button broke and the estimate to fix it is $260. We purchased went with th Kitchenaid brand, and now are left frustrated since it only lasted a little over 6 years. This model has been discontinued so now we have either an expensive repair bill or a new microwave and trim kit that we can only hope will fit. We have a Kitchenaid gas range and dishwasher and can only hope that they last longer than this microwave, considering what we spent on them!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frustrated!! We moved in 2 years ago and loved all the appliances.. all kitchen aid products. The microwave push button has stopped working!! I don’t know how to fix and can’t afford a new microwave!! This is very frustrating because we use it everyday!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from VERY DISAPPOINTING!! My husband and I replaced all of our kitchen appliances 5 1/2 years ago with Kitchenaid appliances. We were very excited to upgrade to Kitchenaid from our previous brand. The microwave stopped working yesterday. Lights are on, timer works, but no heating. During the Christmas holidays, our Kitchenaid refrigerator stopped cooling and needed a $650 repair. Of course, both of these appliances are out of warranty. The previous brand of appliances we owned required no repairs for the 11 years we owned them. I spent thousands of dollars on the best models of all of these Kitchenaid appliances and am very disappointed in the poor quality and reliability.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible, a microwave should not die this quickly This was an expensive microwave. It should not have died so quickly, my aunt has a microwave is 30 years old and runs fine. Not good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Similar to others... unacceptably short lifespan Very similar experience as explained by other reviewers. Only got about 5 years of use out of product and last year was pretty shaky. Expected a lot more from Kitchenaid brand. Other Kitchenaid appliances are performing well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product with short lifespan Came with house, purchased new in 2012. Just stopped heating food. Unacceptable for a brand like KitchenAid. The microwave internal lightbulb has outlasted the heating capability of the appliance.
